The Revelation details the Tribulation, which is a seven-year period of wars, plagues, famines, earthquakes, and disasters.
It ends in the Battle of Armageddon, and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. The earth was formed in seven days and will be destroyed and judged in seven years. Seven is God’s number of completion and we see the number seven in Genesis as the days of the creation and seven years as the number of years of judgments onto the earth that end in its destruction.
In addition to the book of Revelation detailing the events of the Tribulation, Jesus elaborates on the Tribulation as well as brief mentions by the apostles. The Tribulation is further elaborated on in the various books of Prophets, specifically the book of Daniel, Joel, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Zechariah, Isaiah and within other books of the Bible. Each detail adds more detail and presents a detailed account of the seven year Tribulation period.
