Two of the largest Christian networks just featured false prophet Jonathan Cahn, who claimed he had a vision that the October 7 attack on Israel is the fulfillment of the Revelation 12 prophecy. In Cahn’s books, he finds parallels to Jewish history and seasons. He found parallels between the 9/11 attacks and Ancient Assyria’s invasion in Israel (Israel 9;10). Is he serious? In his book, The Mystery of the Shemitah, he applies the US Great Depression and stock market downturns of 2001 and 2008. According to Cahn’s theory, 1980 and 1994 would be Shemitah years, yet there were no economic crises in those years. Of course, Cahn only focuses on the United States, as if no other country, continent, or world power exists except the United States. So Cahn completely ignored Europe’s Sovereign Debt Crisis of 2009–2015, which peaked in 2011–2012.
