The Tribulation of Bible Prophecy is the period of judgments the Scriptures outline will lead to Armageddon and the end of the World.
The Tribulation is the period that prophecy in the Bible details both in its duration and also provides the events that will occur during the Tribulation. The Tribulation is a term that is coined by Evangelical Christians for the time period. Jesus Mark 13:19 and 24 referenced the period as the Tribulation and in Matthew 24:21 he differentiated the Tribulation from the Great Tribulation when he stated : For then shall be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. It is the time period of God’s judgements onto the earth for its sin. These are predicted in the book of Revelation.

The Great Tribulation
This is the last 3 and half years of the Tribulation. It is called the Great Tribulation after the prophet Daniel and Jesus who describe the event that marks the start of the Great Tribulation. The Revelation Prophecy also confirms with the number of days. The final judgement unleashed onto the earth are the most catastrophic with the finale recorded in Bible Prophecy or prophecy in the Bible as "the day of the Lord," which the book of Joel describes along with details given by Jesus, other prophets, a detail given in the epistles and many details given in the Revelation. As the start of the Tribulation was signaled by the Antichrist, so also is the Great Tribulation marked by what the prophet Daniel and Jesus describe as the abomination of desolation. The term "Great Tribulation" for the period was named by Jesus Himself.
