Is the Antichrist Judas Iscariot?

Is the Antichrist Judas Iscariot?

Some end time watchers believe Judas Iscariot and the Antichrist is the same person.

They believe Judas will return as the Antichrist because of the Son of Perdition reference in the Bible.

Perdition is a Greek word and it is used eight times in the New Testament. Perdition is a word that is similar to hell but more encompassing of utter destruction and eternal misery. Two times it is used referring to the Son of Perdition. The first reference is to Judas Iscariot and the second is a reference to the Antichrist, this has led Bible Scholars to believe that Judas and the Antichrist are the same man and that Judas revives in the end times.

Two times the Bible refers to the Beast of Revelation that goes into perdition and the other two references have nothing to do with the Beast or the Antichrist but is used in contrast of the direction of spiritual persons.

While it sounds as if the Son of Perdition is one person, we have to examine Scripture against Scripture.  Jesus is refereed to as the Son of Man and so was Ezekiel.  While Son of Man sounds like it was a singular title for Jesus, it was also the title given to the prophet Ezekiel by God.

The Bible tells us that Satan entered into Judas and also will enter the Antichrist.   Unlike all men and women who have been born into this world, these two men were spawns of Satan with no hope of redemption.  The Bible details the death of Judas signifying his accursedness, and the Antichrist is the only man in the world who will not die and his physical body be thrown directly into the lake of fire.
